Founded in 1965, the University of Southern Indiana enrolls nearly 9,500 undergraduate and graduate students in 80 majors. A public higher education institution, located on a beautiful 1,400-acre campus in Evansville, Indiana, USI offers programs through the College of Liberal Arts, Romain College of Business, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education.
USI is a Carnegie Foundation Community Engaged University and offers continuing education and special programs to more than 15,000 participants annually through Outreach and Engagement. The University offers study-abroad opportunities in more than 60 countries, and is host to international students from around the globe.
A competitive member of NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference, USI offers 17 varsity intercollegiate men's and women's sports.
President Linda L. M. Bennett is USI's third president and was inaugurated in 2009. Under her leadership, the University continues a tradition of affordable excellence for students, while moving forward with a bold strategic plan to achieve excellence through innovation and engagement and position USI as a top choice for students.
USI offers a Veteran, Military and Family Resource Center that serves the campus and community needs of the Veterans in the areas of education, behavioral health, job placement and community engagement.
