The dedication of the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad took place September 2, 2006 in Osgood, Indiana as part of their Sesquicentennial Celebration. A second dedication ceremony was held immediately following at the James Harrison Cravens’ home.
Paula Bongen, IHB, and Katherine Taul, Executive Director of the Ripley County Tourism Bureau unveil the O & M marker.
Standing with Paula Bongen is Helen Todd Einhaus, historian for Ripley County and historian Diane Perrine Coon. The marker was possible due to their hard work and dedication.
The Osgood Sesquicentennial Celebration Parade marches through the streets for a very enthusiastic audience.
Osgood Scout Troop 638 presents the Colors for the dedication ceremony. The program included railroad songs from the “Central House Young Singers,” seen here on stage.
