Career of Humanity Award
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Make a Career of Humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. It will make a better person of yourself, a better nation of your country, and a finer world to live in.”
The Career of Humanity Award is given to someone who has committed their personal and professional life to the service of others. This person has worked diligently to improve their community in order to provide a better quality of life for those around them. They uplift others, build up their community, and recognize the shared humanity in us all!
Face of the Future Award
In Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s address at the March for Integrated Schools, he looked out at the crowd of children marching alongside him and said, “As I stand here and look out upon the thousands of Negro faces, and the thousands of white faces, intermingled like the waters of a river, I see only one face—the face of the future.”
The Face of the Future award is given to an up-and-coming leader who despite their age, is already working toward making our world better. They are already leaving their mark on their community and creating a better world for all of humanity.
Stone of Hope Award
In Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, he said, “We will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope,” inspiring everyone to have hope and believe that together we can overcome.
The Stone of Hope Award is given to a person who has shown resilience in times of challenge. They have not only worked to overcome their own struggles, but inspired others to push forward for the betterment of humanity.
Light of Altruism Award
"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
The Light of Altruism award is given to a person who embodies Dr. King’s message of “What are you doing for others?” They create new opportunities to elevate diverse voices and prioritize inclusion. They lead with compassion and demonstrate an unyielding dedication to improving the lives of others. They are committed to putting others first and uplifting humanity.
