IDEM has long been focused on reducing harmful diesel emissions across Indiana. Starting in 2002, IDEM and subsequently the DieselWise Indiana initiative have used a variety of funding mechanisms to provide support for clean diesel projects. To date, DieselWise Indiana has directly reduced diesel emissions on over 2,000 vehicles and indirectly made a much larger impact on improved air quality.
