The Emission Inventory Tracking System (EMITS) is an online tool for reporting the emission statement. This will no longer require reporters to install software, and will allow users to submit the emission statement electronically.
EMITS is a tool made available to those companies that are required to report their air emissions under the Emission Reporting Rule at Title 326, Article 2, Rule 6 of the Indiana Administrative Code (326 IAC 2-6 [PDF]). The system was designed to take advantage of a centralized database that will no longer require reporters to install software on their computers and will allow for quick updates as required. EMITS can also serve as a resource to recover lost or previous reports as it holds multiple years of data.
Access to EMITS is limited to those that are required to report their emissions. The Office of Air Quality (OAQ) provides EMITS User Tips [PDF]. Users may contact OAQ with questions. IDEM makes summary data of the submissions available to the public.
