Seven Indiana marinas meet the rigorous pollution prevention standards of the statewide Indiana Clean Marina Program. Their managers voluntarily take measures to prevent pollution associated with their operations, and they encourage recreational boaters to use clean boating practices. The Clean Marina designation is a testament to their efforts to protect Indiana’s inland and coastal waterways.
Look for the Indiana Clean Marina flag and sign at these facilities. This interactive map shows their locations, services, and amenities. IDEM encourages every marina manager and recreational boater in Indiana to learn about the benefits of the program and become an active participant.
Clean Marinas must recertify annually and IDEM must conduct a compliance site visit at least every three years in order to keep their Clean Marina designation. Free, confidential compliance and technical assistance is available to any marina, yacht club, or boat yard with compliance concerns.
