Bryan Fox graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He served 33 years as a Law Enforcement officer prior to joining the staff at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in November of 2024. He is a graduate of the 125th Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Bryan began his career in Law Enforcement as a Special Deputy with the United States Marshals Service in 1991. In 1995, he joined the Mishawaka Police Department. Bryan served as the Department Training Coordinator, ILEA General Instructor, Field Training Officer, Swat team member, and a member of the Fatal Alcohol Crash Team. He is an instructor in numerous subjects including Drug Recognition Expert, Standard Field Sobriety Testing, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, Strategies and Tactics of Patrol Stops, Active Shooter and Rescue Task Force, De-escalation techniques, Building Search techniques, Less Lethal Technologies, Tactical Medical, and he is a graduate of Force Science Institute. He held the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain of Patrol and retired in 2022 as the Assistant Chief.
Away from academy life, Bryan enjoys his family time, coaching, and vacationing. Bryan is married and they have four adult children.
