Chad Dick served over 25 years in law enforcement before retiring from the Indiana State Police in 2021. Prior to entering law enforcement he attended both Vincennes University and Indiana State University, before being hired by the Indiana State Police to attend the 53rd recruit school.
He graduated from the 53rd Indiana State Police recruit school in December 1995 and was assigned to the Indiana Toll Road. In 1997 he transferred to the Jasper Post where he served the rest of his career. During his career Chad served as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer, Public Information Officer, and finally as a Squad Sergeant. He also served on several specialties such as the Tactical Intervention Platoon, Field Training Officer and Field Training Officer Coordinator, the Honor Guard, Indiana State Police CISM Team, and the State FOP Critical Incident and Memorial Team.
He has been an ILETB certified instructor since 1999 specializing in firearms and in November 2023 he was hired by the ILEA to serve as a POST Compliance Specialist. Chad is married and has two children. He loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys serving at church and mentoring youth.
