Mark Bridge served with the Rockville Police Department for one and a half years. Major Bridge then served with the Parke County Sheriff's Department for sixteen years with the last nine years as Sheriff prior to joining the staff at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in March of 1999.
Major Bridge is a graduate of the 72nd Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and the 203rd Session of the FBI National Academy. Captain Bridge is a certified by the LETB as a Master Instructor, a Firearms Instructor, and has attended numerous law enforcement related courses.
While serving as the President of the Indiana Sheriff's Association in 1996, Major Bridge received the prestigious "Sagamore" Award. Captain Bridge obtained an Associate degree in Applied Science from Danville Area Community College.
Major Bridge's primary duty consists of supervising the Basic Training Course, but will also assist with instructing firearms, Active Shooter Response, Characteristics of armed individuals, and Cultural Awareness.
