The Noble County Health Department is partnering with McMillen Health to offer the following programs:
Fresh Air for Baby and Me
Fresh Air for Baby and Me is a smoking cessation curriculum. One cohort of the program includes 10 hours of education. Modules are broken down into 1 hour to allow for interactive and engaging discussions. The program includes a total of 9 short low-literacy videos, 9 digital handouts, and a participant journal. After the curriculum is completed, diapers, wipes, and personal hygiene items are given to the participating families.
Mom and Me Days
Mom and Me Days will be 2.5 hours long and provided 2 times per year for pregnant or parenting women and their children. Mom and Me Days allows content from the Healthy Tomorrow prenatal app to come to life with a 1 hour deep dive of education and discussion provided on topics from the app content (e.g., prenatal health, safe sleep, breastfeeding, etc.). In the 2nd hour, women will learn how to cook a healthy meal with a visual demonstration followed by 30 minutes for the women and children to eat together. Both days will have different topics presented.
The Noble County Health Department individuals to download and learn from McMillen Health's Healthy Tomorrow App. This app is a great resource for pregnant and parenting women and includes topics such as prenatal health, breastfeeding, safe sleep, tobacco cessation, OUD & NAS, and birth spacing. After watching the educational videos, badges can be earned to redeem baby supplies locally (e.g., diapers, wipes, formula, etc.). The video content is available in Arabic, Burmese, Dari/Farsi, English, and Spanish.
