Indiana Broadband – CHALLENGES TO NEW FCC MAP

Broadband Mapping Timeline

Indiana Broadband – CHALLENGES TO NEW FCC MAP:

Indiana’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) has an urgent request regarding the new broadband availability map just released by the FCC. This map will dictate what level of funding for broadband will be available to Indiana, and so it is important that the map accurately reflects available Internet connectivity in NIRPC’s region. Otherwise, our state could be short-changed in being able to meet its actual need for Internet connectivity. Challenges to the map may be made up until January 13. OCRA is strongly encouraging you to verify the availability of broadband shown at the locations on the FCC’s map. This handout describes the simple process for you to make a challenge to that map where warranted.
