NIRPC to hold 45 day public comment period on Engage NWI, the Draft Public Participation Plan

The Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) will hold a 45-day public comment period on Engage NWI, the draft Public Participation Plan for NIRPC. The comment period begins Friday, June 20, 2019 and will end Monday, August 5, 2019.

Engage NWI is the guiding document that details how NIRPC will conduct public involvement activities and provide information on its planning activities to the public. Engage NWI also guides the public in building a better understanding of NIRPC, its plans and programs.

Comments may be submitted until August 5, 2019 in the following ways:

All comments received during the 45-day public comment period will be compiled into a public comment report and responded to. This report will be made available to the public and distributed to the Commission members prior to any action on these items. It is anticipated that action seeking a recommendation for approval will be taken at the August 13, 2019 meeting of the Technical Planning Committee, followed by action of approval at the August 15, 2019 meeting of the NIRPC Commission.
