Signed into law by Governor Evan Bayh in 1992, the State Employees' Community Campaign seeks to provide state employees with opportunities to be conscientious citizens and get involved with nonprofits in their communities. It's the perfect time to donate to the causes that matter to you.
The campaign consolidates fundraising efforts statewide and is the time of year when state employees can give in a combined effort, largely through payroll deductions. It’s grown to be one of the largest annual activities that state employees participate in. It’s also a lot of fun with charity events ranging from cornhole tournaments to lip sync battles to basketball tournaments and more.

In 2022, state employees raised over $1.45 million for 501(c)(3) charities and this year, our goal is $1.5 million. You can be a part of reaching that goal! Employees that give the equivalent of 30 minutes of time per paycheck in payroll deductions are “Champion Level” givers and receive an SECC pin and employees that give a total of $1000 or more are “Torchbearers” and receive an SECC branded gift. But any amount, big or small, is appreciated.
