Summary of Monitoring Activities
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD), on behalf of the Governor, oversees the programs and activities of the State’s workforce development subrecipient partners to ensure proper stewardship of state and federal funding. Federal regulations require annual on-site reviews of each Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA or Local Area) within a state to monitor compliance with administrative, fiscal, programmatic, and Equal Opportunity (EO) requirements. All programs and activities overseen by DWD are subject to monitoring, and Compliance Team staff may visit any facility and may speak with any management, staff, or customers associated with WorkOne American Job Center services or operations within the Local Area. Inspection and testing of various files and documentation will also occur during the monitoring review. Monitoring inquiries may be directed to Oversight@dwd.IN.gov.
