Indiana’s 2024-2027 Unified State WIOA Plan
Indiana's 2024-2027 Unified State WIOA Plan outlines a four-year strategy for the state’s workforce development system. Through the Plan, Indiana established pillars and goals for achieving the state’s strategic vision- the three pillars are as follows: removing barriers for workers, preparing future skilled workers, and helping employers find and/or developed skilled workers. More information on the state's strategy and goals can be found in the Plan located at: Indiana PYs 2024-2027 Unified State WIOA Plan
WIOA: Local Four-Year Plans
WIOA requires Workforce Development Boards (WDB), in partnership with the local chief elected official, to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year local plan to the state for approval. The plan must address current and future strategies and efficiencies to advance the continuing modernization of the workforce system and the creation of a customer-centered system. It must also support the strategy described in the State Plan and be consistent with the State Plan.
Once the local plans were submitted, the review process was conducted within a 90-day period. As part of the review process, each WDB presented a local plan to the State Workforce Innovation Council.
