Data, Analytics, Reporting, and Technology Transformation

To support IDOH's 2021-25 Strategic Plan and to respond to the public health needs highlighted by COVID-19, the Data, Analytics, Reporting, Technology, and Transformation project was established to implement improvements to IT and data.

DARTT will lead a digital and operational transformation encompassing people, processes, data, and technology to ensure our capabilities are prepared for any future pandemics or public health emergencies. The objective is to better position the Agency to achieve its mission to promote, protect, and improve the health and safety of all Hoosiers.

  • How will this impact IDOH and Hoosiers?

In 2021, the Indiana Department of Health made a significant effort to reevaluate its data processes and activities.  As part of that evaluation, IDOH was uniquely positioned to use our data as an asset to protect public health. Within IDOH, every team member relies on data and IT in some way. For Hoosiers, the data we use can better position the State to better serve public health needs. DARTT will impact IDOH and Hoosiers by:

    • Improving the scalability, efficiency, and interoperability of IDOH's data and technology system
    • Supporting more effective responses to public health needs
    • Supplying public health decision-makers with data
    • Provide new tools and processes to IDOH employees
    • Moving our rapid response capacity from Reactionary to Proactive
Executive Leadership
  • Dr. Lindsay Weaver, Agency Head
  • Bob Davis, Chief Data Officer
  • Mohan Ambaty, Chief Information Officer
