New to INPRS Covered Employment
Take this opportunity to register your account at myINPRSretirement.org. Ensure your information is accurate, add beneficiaries, and make investments if you want.
Then get in the habit of regularly logging in to your account so that when you do move or your personal email address changes, you can easily keep it updated with us.
Beneficiaries and survivors are different. If you die in active employment, your beneficiaries receive a lump sum. If you die in retirement your survivors receive a benefit. Beneficiaries are determined by statute, but you must select a beneficiary. If you do not have a spouse, dependent children or whole-dependent parents, you can personalize beneficiaries to receive your contribution to the fund.
Contributions
The employee pays 4% of statutory salary. The employer pays a contribution rate determined annually by
the INPRS Board of Trustees.
The current employer contribution rate is 17.90 percent. In 2027, the rate will remain the same at
17.90 percent from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31.
