Harm reduction is a public health approach centered on mitigating harmful consequences of substance misuse. Harm reduction kits are available in our office and can include items such as condoms, wound care and hygiene supplies. There are several NaloxBoxes in Blackford County that contain doses of Naloxone, the opiod antagonist that can rapidly reverse effects of opiod use. These NaloxBoxes are accessible 24/7 with no personal interaction needed.
