The Blackford County Health Department participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and the 317 program. These state programs help provide vaccines to uninsured children and adults. There are several guidelines we must follow, along with a yearly site visit from IDOH to maintain our enrollment. In addition to the VFC program, we accept most private insurances and Medicaid. Please call our office to schedule immunization appointments and have insurance information available. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and if the adult is not a parent/guardian, they must have a written note signed by the parent/guardian. We currently do not accept Medicare.
