Studying data involves discerning between errors and malicious actions, distinguishing user mistakes from intentional attempts to commit fraud. Mistakes arise when data is incomplete, duplicated or manipulated, leading to biased outcomes. However, a deceptive user might manipulate data unethically to present desired results.
In this video lesson titled “Data Mistakes” from the Study Hall: Data Literacy Series, you’ll learn about how mistakes can happen to anyone including the professionals. The lesson explains the importance of minimizing and correcting data mistakes before they contribute to misleading conclusions.
Data is always changing due to continuous updates and improvements, showcasing the constantly shifting information landscape. The ability to navigate this dynamic landscape is essential for individuals.
