Government

The Town of Jamestown operates under the council form of local government. The Town Council is comprised of 3 elected members representing 3 districts. Duties of the Town Council include formulating town policy, approving the annual budget and capital improvement plan, setting tax and utility rates, providing for an audit of Town finances, and appointing residents to various boards and commissions, the Town Attorney, the Town Marshall and staff members of various departments of the Town.
