Request for Funding Process
FSSA doesn’t just receive funding from the federal government, sometimes the divisions award their own grants to community partners in order to promote priorities at the local level. The Request for Funding process is typically used prior to any FSSA division granting funds to an outside entity. This is different than the contracting process, which uses a Request for Proposals process. The Grants Office provides resources to the division program staff to assist in the development of the RFF. Contract management can also be of assistance in this process.
To begin the RFF process, division staff provides a Letter of Intent to the Grants Office with basic information about the RFF so that the office may track the RFFs. The office provides an RFF tracking number that shall be used on all future documentation. Award information shall be reported to the Grants Office for tracking.
