Introduction to the DDAPR Project
The Data-Driven Addiction, Prevention, and Recovery (DDAPR) Project is multi-agency collaboration between the Governor’s Drug Prevention, Treatment, and Enforcement Office (DPTE), the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH), the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Indiana Department of Professional Licensing (PLA), the Indiana Department of Correction (DOC), the Indiana Department of Family and Social Services (FSSA) including the Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA), the Department of Child Services (DCS), and the Indiana State Police (ISP) and is led by the Indiana Management Performance Hub (MPH).
The work of DDAPR is informed by the DPTE Office and the Drug Data Working Group (DDWG), which is a group comprised of key stakeholders at the State involved with Indiana’s drug response. Several resources will be provided as deliverables of DDAPR, most notably, the series of data visualizations displaying the results of analyses performed on use cases provided by members of the DDWG that are housed on this internal site. This website displays the results of DDAPR’s analyses and other state resources in an accessible and centralized location for members of the DDWG.
Together we aim to do the following:
- Deepen the foundational understanding of the crisis to guide future work toward actions that will create the most impact.
- Empower decision makers to act confidently with data-supported projections about the likely outcomes of program changes.
- Enable the state to pivot and adjust quickly by identifying and measuring leading indicators of success, and monitoring progress in an ongoing fashion.
The project is funded by the Indiana Family and Social Services Association through the Federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
