The Judge
Judge Trent Meltzer was appointed to Shelby Circuit Court by Governor Eric Holcomb in August of 2018 and was elected in November of 2018. He is a lifelong resident of Shelby County. Judge Meltzer graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. He graduated Cum Laude from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2009. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Meltzer served as the Shelbyville City Attorney. He currently resides in Shelbyville with his wife and their three daughters.
