Peer Recovery Coaches
Probation has partnered with Community Outreach Network Services to be able to provide Peer Recovery Coaches. Peer Recovery Coaches are people who have been affected by addiction, have become and remained sober, and have completed the certifications that are required to be a Peer Recovery Coach in the State of Indiana. A Peer Recovery Coach is deemed important for recovery and for successful completion of supervision under Shelby County Probation and Shelby County Community Corrections. The Peer’s role is to help you build recovery capital and achieve your goals. Recovery capital is any internal or external resources that helps a person maintain and improve their recovery.
