The list of tables below provides a general overview of the rules adopted by the Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission (the Commission) under Title 675 of the Indiana Administrative Code (675 IAC). The dates (effective, amended, repealed and expiration) provided are based on the “history lines” (italicized text) provided at the end of every section of the rules under 675 IAC. This webpage is provided as an informal resource to assist users in navigating the Commission’s rules; however, it is not a substitute for legal research or to the provisions of 675 IAC or any predecessor rules. The accuracy of the below information is not guaranteed. Generally, the list below does not identify every time a specific section of a rule was amended or repealed. It is only intended to capture the dates of initial adoption and later repeal of the identified code. However, to the extent practicable, dates of amendments to the codes have been provided.

Copies of the latest version of 675 IAC may be found on the Indiana Register website. Previous versions of the Commission’s rules, dating back to 2003, may be found in the Indiana Administrative Code Archive. This archive is helpful when researching previously adopted codes. To obtain versions of the Commission’s rules in place prior to 2003, please submit a public records request to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, or contact the Indiana Archives and Records Administration.
