Executive Leadership Training Program Overview

Designed to prepare individuals for Organizational Leadership Roles. This four day program will challenge participants to learn practical leadership and
management skills to lead high-level workgroups (Facility, Division, etc.). Offered once a year this program requires that participants in the program agree to a year-long mentorship program with an executive.

Eligibility Requirements

  • No disciplinary action(s) in the past four years
  • Five years experience in their field
  • Should be ready to promote to warden or division director
  • Must be Grade Level 40 or higher as well as Unit Team Manager

Selection Criteria

  • Employees are nominated by their agency head, facility head or division director
  • Nominees fill out an application for the program
  • Applicants are reviewed by a Selection Board made up of the Executive Leadership
    staff and the Commissioner

May 13-16, 2024

  • May 13-14, 2024 - Correctional Training Institute
  • May 15, 2024 - Correctional Industrial Facility
  • May 16, 2024 - Central Office
