Principles of Custody Supervision Program Overview

This program has evolved through the years, and in 2021 became the program it is today. Written and developed by custody supervisors it focuses on the challenges and competencies correctional staff face as a new supervisor. This program is delivered in a blended format of distant learning and traditional classroom learning facilitated by experience supervisors at all levels and must be completed within 12 months of promotion. After the 1st quarter, the program will be held twice a quarter for the rest of the year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be Grade Level 36 and above

Selection Criteria

  • Custody personnel promoted after July 1, 2017
