Welcome to Prequalification and Compliance
The Prequalification and Compliance Division conducts the consultant and contractor prequalification process. Before bidding or subcontracting on any INDOT projects, prequalification is required. Prequalification is based on the firm’s and the individual’s professional experience and qualifications. Statements of experience, financial condition, and nondiscrimination compliance must be completed to obtain prequalification status. The process is governed by the state Statute IC 8-23-1-23 and the FHWA rules and regulations.
Additionally, the Prequalification Division Compliance Team conducts audits of all prequalified consultants and contractors that conduct work on behalf of INDOT. The Team provides technical assistance to aid consultants and contractors in their compliance efforts.
Further, the Prequalification and Compliance Division is responsible for administering nondiscrimination programs related to INDOT federally funded projects, programs, and activities. This administration includes but is not limited to Local Public Agency Title VI and ADA compliance reviews of the Indiana communities that request and/or are likely to become subrecipients of federal funds.
