INDOT Multimodal Director Marty Blake has been named Chairman of the Board for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO)
“NASAO provides an immense amount of professional relevance to a team of hard-working, passionate, and dedicated state aviation officials,” said Blake. “I am deeply honored and humbled to serve as the NASAO chair for the next 12 months. For 93 years, NASAO has been the heart, soul, and voice of state aviation officials.”
Blake continued: “The executive committee consists of the chair, vice chair, treasurer, secretary, and immediate past chair. Previously, I served as treasurer for 2022-2023 and as vice chair in 2023-2024. This is a national board position leading around 10 committees across the 50 states and Guam/Puerto Rico. As the new chairman, I am eager to lead and advocate for the interests of the members within the state aviation community. As the aviation industry continues to evolve and grow, NASAO will help state agencies work through challenging times and celebrate amazing successes. I look forward to working closely with our outstanding staff, state aviation leaders, and valued business partners to address industry challenges, explore innovative solutions, and seize opportunities that will enhance our nation's air transportation system.”
