Project Overview
US 40 For All is dedicated to improving mobility, safety, and traffic operations along US 40 in Plainfield in Hendricks County, Indiana. This critical corridor faces transportation challenges, including safety concerns due to crash frequency and severity, congestion and delays, and gaps in pedestrian facilities. By addressing these infrastructure challenges, US 40 For All seeks to create a safer, more accessible roadway that benefits all users – drivers and pedestrians – and enhances the overall quality and efficiency of travel in the project area.
Key improvements, including intersection upgrades and corridor-wide treatments, will focus on better access control, speed management, and pedestrian connectivity. These efforts will create a safer, more efficient roadway that serves all users, from drivers to pedestrians, and supports the growing needs of the community.
